Boys Basketball

CAMPBELL | Alex Nolton netted 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds Wednesday to pace the Campbell-Savona boys basketball team in a 51-41 win over Arkport.

Mitch Allen added nine points, seven steals and five rebounds for the Panthers.

Campbell-Savona (3-1) will play at Canisteo-Greenwood at 7:15 p.m. Friday.

Hammondsport 41/Alfred-Almond 35

HAMMONDSPORT | Hammondsport’s Trenton Kolo scored 15 points as he led the Lakers past the Alfred-Almond 41-35 Wednesday.

Ryan Eckel chipped in eight points and eight rebounds in the win. Matt Peterson also added seven rebounds and four steals.

Alfred-Almond was led by Patrick Chamberlain’s 13 points.

Hammondsport hosts Jasper-Troupsburg on Friday.

Girls Basketball/SCAA

Arkport 51/Campbell-Savona 43

ARKPORT | Aillson Gibson led the way as Arkport defeated Campbell-Savona 51-43 on Wednesday.

Gibson scored 16 points. She was assisted by Lauren Wyant’s 11 points and Maddie Whiteman’s eight points.

Campbell-Savona’s Nikki Poplaski recorded a double-double, scoring 22 points and pulling in 14 rebounds. However, the Panthers were not able to overcome Arkport’s lead.

Campbell-Savona will visit Odessa-Montour on Friday at 6:30 p.m.

Hammondsport 42/Alfred-Almond 26

HAMMONDSPORT | Rori Gordon nearly posted a triple-double as she led the Lakers past the Eagles on Wednesday.

Gordon scored 11 points, pulled down 10 rebounds and had nine assists. Elizabeth Kolodziejczak chipped in 10 points and eight rebounds.

Alfred-Almond’s Catherine Bialecki led the tam with 11 points.

Hammondsport plays at Jasper-Troupsburg Saturday at 7:15 p.m.

Campbell-Savona 65/Arkport 12

ARKPORT | With only four of 13 matches being contested on the mat, Campbell-Savona earned a quick 65-12 victory over Arkport on Wednesday.

Dylan Eaton and Jake Wood pulled in impressive victories, each pinning their opponents in under a minute. Geoff Hargrave and Devon Paul also won via pinfall.

Campbell-Savona will host their Holiday Dual Meet Tournament on Friday and Saturday.
