Addison 63/Avoca 35
ADDISON | Dalton Lewis netted a game-high 17 points as Addison topped Avoca 63-35 Monday, Dec. 19.
All of Lewis’ points came in the first half as the Knights outscored Avoca 34-16. Lewis also had six steals and five assists in the contest.
For the game, Addison (5-1, 4-0) had 10 players score points. Michael Wooldridge and Andrew Metarko had eight points each.
It was a good team effort,” Addison head coach Mike Makowiec said. “Everyone we put in the game played solid defense and 10 kids scoring was nice to see.”
Avoca (0-5) was led by nine points from Matt Fox, while Alec Schumacher netted seven points and led the Tigers with five rebounds.
Addison will host Bath Haverling on Wednesday.
Avoca 45/Addison 41
AVOCA | Ali Cornish poured in a team-high 15 points and teammate Danielle Seratt added a double-double Monday to lead Avoca to a 45-41 win over Addison.
Seratt scored 11 points and pulled down 11 rebounds for the Tigers, while Cornish also had a strong day on the glass, finishing with eight rebounds. Avoca’s Rae Prestride chipped in with six points and grabbed 12 rebounds.
Addison’s Rachael Sutryk knocked down three 3-pointers and led all scorers with 16 points. Brooke Collins added 10 points for the Knights.
Avoca (1-4, 1-2) will host Mount Morris at the team’s Stop DWI Tournament on Dec. 28.
