Boys Basketball/Prattsburgh Christmas Tournament, championship

Prattsburgh 35/Campbell-Savona 32

PRATTSBURGH | Prattsburgh pulled out a slim 35-32 victory over Campbell-Savona Wednesday in a tough defensive battle for the title in the Prattsburgh Christmas tournament.

Prattsburgh was led by Isaiah King’s 14 points. Andrew Shick chipped in 7 points.

The Vikings pulled down 14 defensive rebounds in the second half to maintain their lead over Campbell-Savona. Kyle Putnam and Michael Schuck helped in that endeavor, pulling down eight and five, respectively.

Campbell-Savona was led by Mitchell Allen’s 13 points.

Prattsburgh will play at Arkport at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday.

Girls Basketball/Prattsburgh Christmas Tournament, semis

Prattsburgh 40/Naples 23

PRATTSBURGH | Prattsburgh took a solid lead early and maintained it to defeat Naples 40-23 in the opening round of the Prattsburgh Christmas tournament on Thursday.

Prattburgh was led by Becky Seager’s 13 points, eight of which came in the fourth quarter. Morgan Stratton, a freshman playing her first game, scored six points and pulled in nine rebounds. Shanah Ejresi chipped in nine points.

Kayla VandeSande’s 17 points led Naples.

Prattsburgh will host Arkport in the tournament championship at 7 p.m. today.

Girls Basketball/Stop DWI Tournament, consolation

Avoca 58/C.G. Finney 19

AVOCA | Avoca took a large lead early and never looked back, defeating CG Finney 58-19 in the consolation game of the Avoca Stop DWI Tournament Thursday.

Danielle Seratt’s 14 points led Avoca in scoring. Taylor Lathorp also had a good game, recording eight rebounds, six assists and five steals to go with her four points. Breanne Berlin had 11 points while Ali Cornish chipped in 10.

CG Finney was led by Zole McCarthy’s eight points.

Avoca travels to face Alfred-Almond on Wednesday.
