Alfred-Almond 51/Avoca 34

AVOCA | Alfred-Almond got off to a strong start, outscoring Avoca 25-10 in the first half, en route to a 51-34 victory Wednesday.

The Eagles were led by Tyler Baker’s 19 points. Ricky Chamberlain helped, scoring 15 points, while Stephen Johnson chipped in with 10 points.

Avoca was led by Alec Schumacher’s 15 points.

Avoca will play at Jasper-Troupsburg on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Canisteo-Greenwood 59/Bradford 30

BRADFORD | Canisteo-Greenwood shot very well from the foul-line, nailing nine of 11 freebies in its 59-30 victory over Bradford on Wednesday.

Canisteo was led by Aaron Miller’s 15 points, which included a trio of 3-pointers. Dylan Steen and Tim Knight each scored 12 points to help in the win.

Bradford was led by Eric Caulkins’ eight points. Marvin Kelly chipped in 12 rebounds and six points.

Bradford travels to face Arkport on Friday at 7 p.m.

Alfred-Almond 50/Avoca 28

ALFRED | After a slow start, Alfred-Almond pulled away from Avoca to win 50-28 on Wednesday.

Alfred-Almond, which led by one after one quarter, outscored the Tigers 31-10 over the next 16 minutes. The Eagles were led by Megan Murray’s 21 points. Kali Mulheisen chipped in 14 points.

Avoca was led by Ali Cornish who scored 11 points.

Avoca will travel to face Arkport on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
