Boys Basketball/Nonleague

Batavia Notre Dame 83/Prattsburgh 39

PRATTSBURGH | Doane McCulley drained four 3-pointers and scored a game-high 23 points Saturday to pace Batavia Notre Dame in an 83-39 win over Prattsburgh.

Isaiah King buried three treys and finished with 15 points to lead the Vikings, while teammate Andrew Shick added seven points.

Prattsburgh (6-4) will play at Avoca at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Prattsburgh 3/Arkport 0

ARKPORT | Frank and Allen Presher each recorded six kills Saturday, leading Prattsburgh to a win on the road.

The Vikings (5-3) won by scores of 26-24, 25-20 and 25-17 behind 15 digs and three kills from Andy Owens, while Will Stockton went a perfect 20-for-20 at the service line with two aces and six digs. Frank Presher also had two aces and five assists, while Allen Presher added three blocks and five assists.

Prattsburgh will compete in the season finale Wednesday when Wellsville comes to town.

Skiing/Southern Tier Slalom

SWAIN | Sara Apenowich placed fifth overall with a cumulative time of 1:38.97 to lead Bath Haverling to a first-place showing in the team competition Saturday at the Southern Tier Slalom.

Bath’s Ellen Eichensehr was 10th overall (1:45.02) and teammate Danielle Neu took 14th (2:00.71) for the Rams at the eight-team event.

“It was a cold night, but they had plenty of snow,” Bath coach Ron Smith said. “We were pleased with the results and it shows the hard work the girls have been putting in.”

Bath will compete at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at a grand slalom event at Swain.
