Campbell-Savona 47/Avoca 27
CAMPBELL | Campbell-Savona played strong defensively in its 47-27 victory over Avoca on Friday.
“It was just a good team defensive effort.” Panthers coach Merlin Button said.
The Panthers were led by Mitchell Allen, who scored 11 points and recorded nine steals. Caleb Drumm chipped in eight points. Ten Campbell-Savona players scored during the game.
Avoca was led by Matt Fox, who scored six points.
Campbell-Savona will travel to play Wellsville at 6:30 p.m. tonight.

Hammondsport 51/Bradford 35
BRADFORD | A well-balanced attack gave Hammondsport a win on the road Friday.
Ryan Eckel scored 12 points for the Lakers, while Trenton Kolo netted 10 points and Jordan Schuck finished with nine points. Bradford (4-10) was led by Marvin Kelly’s 12-point, 13-rebound double-double, while Jesse Houck scored nine points and Jordan Keefer chipped in eight.
Bradford will host Alfred-Almond today.
Girls Basketball/SCAA
Campbell-Savona 39/Avoca 34
AVOCA | Campbell-Savona played strongly in the second half, erasing a three-point deficit at the half to defeat Avoca 39-34.
The Panthers where led by Shirlyn Poplaski, who scored 12 points. Lekysha Snyder aided in the victory, scoring 11 points while Katherine Baas chipped in nine points.
The Tigers were led by Ali Cornish who scored 10 points.
Avoca will travel to face Prattburgh on Tuesday.
