Bradford 62/Alfred-Almond 59

BRADFORD | Marvin Kelly sank a pair of free throws in the third overtime to secure a 62-59 win for Bradford over Alfred-Almond Monday.

Kelly led all scorers with 34 points – out-gunning Alfred-Almond’s Tyler Baker, who sank six 3-pointers on his way to a 30-point effort. Kelly also had 19 rebounds.

“Kelly just had a heckuva game,” Bradford head coach Bob Lee said. “I’m just so proud of all of my kids. They just kept fighting.

“It was a great high school game. You couldn’t ask for any more. Both teams played hard – it was a great battle.”

Alfred-Almond tied the game two times, sending it into the first two overtimes, before the Braves pulled away in the third extra period.

Jesse Houck and Jordan Keefer scored 12 points apiece for Bradford. Patrick Chamberlin had 11 points and Chris Cook had 10 points for the Eagles.

Bradford (4-10) returns to action on Jan. 31 when its hosts Odessa-Montour in a 7 p.m. game.
