Boys Basketball/Nonleague

Addison 55/Bath-Haverling 38

BATH | Michael Wooldridge scored a 16-point, 10-rebound double-double Friday, leading Addison past Bath Haverling.

Zach Knapp scored 14 points for Addison (11-3), while Dalton Lewis scored 11 points and P.J. Povoski chipped in five points to go along with 10 rebounds. Bath Haverling (2-10) was led by Alan Stanhope’s 10 points and eight from Conor Oksinski.

Addison will visit Hammondsport on Tuesday to wrap up the regular season.

Swimming/LCAA Championships

BATH | Joe Skelly finished second in the 500-yard freestyle Saturday, helping Bath Haverling finish fourth overall in the LCAA meet. Dansville won the meet overall, by one point over Livonia, while Hornell placed sixth.

Skelly was fourth in the 200 freestyle, Alex Reber was third in the 200 freestyle and fourth in the 400 freestyle, Michael Conley was third in the 100 backstroke for the Rams. Tyler Easterbrook was named the Senior of the Year by opposing coaches, while Joe and Peter Skelly, Conley and Easterbrook were each named LCAA All-Stars.

Bath will compete the Section V meet at home in two weeks.

Swimming/SCAA Championships

CAMPBELL| Nick Von Stackelberg led Alfred-Almond to a win in the SCAA championships on Saturday, breaking three Campbell-Savona pool records. Cuba-Rushford finished second.

Von Stackelberg won the 200-yard freestyle, 500 freestyle and was on the record-braking 200 medley relay team of Patrick Greaney, Kevin Cook and Taylor Godshalk. Canisteo-Greenwood’s Derek Brown set a new pool mark in the 100 freestyle, while Jon Pearl was third in the 100 freestyle and 100 breaststroke for Campbell-Savona and Addison’s Alec Fleet won diving with a state-qualifying score.

Sectionals will be held Feb. 16 at Bath Haverling.

Wrestling/Salamanca Tournament

SALAMANCA | Devon Paul put himself in the Salamanca Tournament finals, but couldn’t wrestle for the 138-pound crown due to an injury. Campbell-Savona’s top wrestler was forced to settle for second place.

His teammates Geoffrey Hargrave (106 pounds) and Nick Simons (182) finished sixth in the tournament.

The Panthers will compete in next weekend’s Section V tournament in East Rochester.

Skiing/Section V Meet

SWAIN | Bath Haverling’s Ellen Eichensehr finished fifth in the giant slalom and eighth in the slalom at Swain, leading the Rams to second overall Saturday.

Sarah Appenowich was sixth in the slalom and 12th in the giant slalom for Haverling, while Danielle Neu was 16th in the giant slalom and 17th in the slalom.

The Rams will hit the trails again Wednesday.
