Wellsville 62/Bath-Haverling 36

WELLSVILLE | Career nights from Mike Berardi and Tom Muska led Wellsville to a 62-36 win over Bath Haverling Monday night.

Berardi had 14 points and Muska added 13 points and three steals for Wellsville (11-3), which has won five straight.

In the third quarter, Wellsville exploded for 24 points to open a 30-point lead heading to the fourth.

“This pretty much sums up our season,” said Bath Haverling head coach Brian Dyring. “We don’t execute, we don’t knock down open shots right now, and we don’t follow a game plan. We’re just not doing what we’re supposed to do.”

Eric Ratchford led Bath Haverling (2-10) with 12 points. Alan Stanhope grabbed six rebounds, Trevor Lang had five rebounds, and Dan Leonard added four steals for the Rams, who visit York on Wednesday.

“We have one returning player from varsity last year, but we’re to the point where we should have it by now,” said Dyring.
